PNR Society is a service organization, based at Bhavnagar, and engaged in multi faceted activities to give help for the relief and rehabilitation of the disabled and to enable them to live respectable life in the society. The PNR Society is the largest of its kind in India, where practically all the disabilities are treated under one roof. For providing trained manpower in the field of various disabilities, the Society has very recently built up a huge educational complex “Nataraj Research Centre and Training College” with a conference room, class rooms, library, computer laboratory, hostel, Dining and canteen facilities. The whole campus is situated in 6 acres of land and totally barrier free. It is a unique training institute in the field of Paramedical, Special Education and Rehabilitation Sciences. Different training courses approved by Rehabilitation Council of India and affiliated to Bhavnagar University are conducted at Nataraj Research Centre. The Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi has awarded PNR Society as “OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE INSTITUTE(OVERALL) 2000”.The College is connected through teleconferencing with 52 centres throughout India by means of satellite in collaboration with IGNOU,Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar University , and RCI, New Delhi. |

Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) was established in 1986 as a registered society under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment at New Delhi to standardize and maintain uniform standards of training of Professionals.. However, the Parliament enacted the Rehabilitation Council of India Act in 1992. The Rehabilitation Council of India becomes a Statutory Body on 22nd June 1993. The council has twin responsibility of standardizing and regulating the training of Professional and personnel in the field of Rehabilitation and Special Education . |
