K. N. Shah Autism School

What is it?

Autism is a neurological disorder that creates impairment in a child’s ability to communicate, socially interact as well as other behavioral disorders. It is more common in boys than girls. Early intervention of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) can help prevent the full onset of the disorder and aids in the child’s development.

With the technical and financial help of Heart and Hand for the Handicapped Foundation (HHH) from USA, PNR society established the Autism Spectrum Disorder Rehabilitation Centre in 2018, within the Nataraj Special School.

What We Do?

The ASD Rehabilitation Centre conducts various awareness activities for the identification of children suffering from Autism in the Bhavnagar district and then provides treatment of sensory therapy, speech stimulation, occupational therapy, activities of daily living and special education through Autism School raised by the Society.

The Centre also aims at providing the students holistic experience that equalizes with normal child education. This is achieved with the help of field visits and participation for events with other students.

The institution is packed with modern gadgets and amenities that assist in mobility and physiotherapy as well as advanced speech learning gadgets.
