The Deafness Prevention Team of Prevention of Disability Programme of PNR Society (Partnered by Impact Foundation UK and Dalal Family Foundation, USA) happened to spot a boy named Dodiya Ronak Dipakbhai, reading in VII std in a primary school of ugamedi in course of regular screening of school children, having puss discharge in the left ear and a hole in his eardrum too.
A Ronak has a brother and two sisters. His father is in diamond polishing and mother is a farm labourer. Both ends hardly meet let alone the treatment. Ronak’s father was advised to bring him to PNR Special Hospital where he was operated by ENT Surgeon Dr. Ashok Baraiya for ear Tempenoplasty. When Ronak came for followup, he was found hearing very nicely. Now Ronak’s study became easy. His family was happy and expressed gratitude to the doctor and PNR Prevention Team.
